C'mon! it's still September!
I've been waiting very anxiously
Also available via the official website in advance somewhen October :)
What a surprising premiere: A Trees album of 13 songs!!!
It makes a total of 116 AATT songs, including "And Also The trees" which they sang in 2005 in paris and Bochum. They would need approximatively nine hours to sing all those tracks in front of an audience. Choices will have to be made !
The anonymity is celebrating the birth of the Untitled
...there is something about the album cover already... that strange black and white landscape, the crooked telegraph pole...
'Where The Land Lies','Mary of the Woods'... How can I wait until October?

OK, I'm rather biased folks, but the new album is completely amazing. Looking forward to seeing a lot of you soon!

Oh, I am so jealous because many of you will get to hear the new songs early when the band plays live in your town! As for me, I'll be wallowing in the States (West Coast) where AATT NEVER EVER seems to play. I hope some of you will let those of us who can't see the band play know how this year's live shows go and include pictures and/or footage on the AATT Untangled web site. I can't wait for the new CD!
For me it always seams lazy when bands calling songs Untitled. But even without having heard any note the meaningful song titles like Mary of the Woods, The Saracens Head or The legend of mucklow feel very AATT by now. Bring on the album!!!
Nuevo disco de AATT!!!
son inmortales!!
hi maniacs,
i have read that one new song, called "domed" has already
founded the way on the actual d-side magazine.
i can't wait till the 12th of
november,so is there any possibilty
to hear the song in advance?
and is there any chance to get the
new album in advance?
so long.
for "domed" try the new AATT page at: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=246960142

Can't... stop... listening. At first it sounded strange, the contrabass was different and intriguing, as if competing with Justin's guitar for a lead role in some songs. But with each play it grows and you start noticing the details, the charming melodies that spring here and there, colorful strokes in a painting. As for the lyrics, beautiful as always, sometimes taking you to familiar places and dark weird moments the next. Now I'm completely hooked. It's like a drug and it has to be consumed several times a day. Another marvelous album.

At the begining, some songs seems too much complex. Too many sounds, too many instruments, too many rythms. Than you find some texture, recuring tunes, parts of sentences and, at the third listening, it's the blow. So, guys and girls, forget about evrything you ever heard from AATT. For the ninth time in their carrier, the're surprinsing us, delighting us with pure moments of music.
This may not be the best AATT album, but at least one of the best. But, over any consideration, I think this album is mainly influenced by Paul Hill breaks and counter-times. One of the best drummers I've ever heard, along with Nick Havas, Pete de Freitas or Stephen Morris.
its funny to see that someone mentions pete de freitas because I think the album reminds me excatly of Ocean Rain by echo and the bunnymen. in fact with under the stars aatt could almost be accused of plagiarism. sure it's 80's but good 80's.
The purist won't appreciate the previous comment, but it's true that it sounds like "Ocean rain" with a different intonation of the voice, of course. This album has a very eastern european mood. Some tracks remind me thing they did in 1998 and 1992 which were yet sounding slavish as "The Cyclone" or "The Woodcutter". It's great album which is constantly surprising.
